History of Nipomo

Chumash Indians were some of the first settlers about 10,000 years ago. The Nipomo mesa is where thousands of Blue Gum Eucalyptus trees were planted by two men in hopes to sell the wood for projects. Now, in 2022 there are just under 20,000 residents.
